Our Record for Last Sunday, October 28, 2007
Attendance 72 Contribution $1,223.57
Preston Reynolds, Ken’s father, continues to improve.
Cordell Kiefer was to have had his feeding tube removed, but he is experiencing some problems with his asthma, and so the surgery has been put off indefinitely.
Alice Wallace has been confined to our home this past week.
Gail Evans is doing very well after her liver transplant, but still has to be sure to take care of herself. As always, Gail never complains.
Roy Harris now surgery scheduled for November 28th. (I understand Roy delayed his surgery so he could go deer hunting.) Keep Roy in your prayers.
Derlina Kinder has been having problems with carpel tunnel syndrome for several weeks. She seems to be doing some better.
Joy Brawner continues to improve after breaking her knee cap. She is able to get around pretty well with the aid of her walker.
As you know, we have a long list of those we need to continue to remember because of various long term problems:
Albert and Edith Anthony, Annie Burgess and Virginia Stephens are all experiencing difficulty getting around, but we are thankful that all of our older citizens are still able to make it to some of the services; some are able to be here more than others.
Keep all of these in your prayers.
Don’t forget to pray for the Church. Please pray for me as your preacher, Dale and me as your elders, Glenn and Roy as your deacons, and Ken and Elisha Reynolds as our teachers.
Justin Jones was taken to the emergency room last Sunday with a high fever. His diagnosis was strep throat.
Many of our members had part of their extended family present last Sunday. Jim Evans family was greatest in number as they came to honor Jim on his birthday. I told Jim he needed to have a birthday every Sunday, but that might age him up too quickly. The Kiefers had four generations present. Dale and Joy had part of their family here including Ryan who has graduated from boot camp, and we had two of our grandchildren. It was a great group and very encouraging.
