Alice Wallace, is continuing to improve. She has had her second chelation treatment. She had a busy day Friday and was able to go out for our evening meal, so that is progress.
To my wonderful
Family of the
Venus church of Christ,
Words cannot express my love and thanks to you, one and all, for all the beautiful prayers, cards, flowers and love.
May “God Bless you, each and every one.”
All my love,
Alice Wallace
Jim Corner plans to be here next Sunday morning for what has become his annual visit and report on his work. Again, it will be his usual: He will make his presentation of the work he has been doing during class, and will be preaching at the 11:00 o’clock worship service. I know all of you will want to be present here his report of the work in Cameroon.
Church Growth Magazine is Available
A limited number of the current Church Growth magazine are available in the foyer. If you check after they are gone, please let me know if we need to increase the number of these we receive each quarter. This issue is called, “Practice the Fundamentals.” It begins with reminders of some of the basic things we need to all remember to do if we expect the church to grow.
Pantry can still use items
We have been asked again to help a family with their food needs. We encourage you to bring what is listed on the calendar each week, or if there is something that you want to bring that is not on the calendar, that is fine also.
Glenn Kiefer will be Teaching Wednesday Evening
We want to encourage everyone to be present Wednesday evening when Glenn Kiefer will be presenting the lesson. Glenn always does a good job with his lessons..
House to House Heart to Heart is here
The new issue of House to House Heart to Heart is here. If we have enough present this evening, it might be a good evening to get these counted and ready for mailing. It is the issue that usually mails about the 15th of the month, so this week or next will be fine.
Church Web Site Being Updated
If you go to the church webpage: www.venuschurchofchrist.org you will see a link in red: Scenes from Secret Sisters Lunch Last week, I had only started, but I have now finished unless someone else has something I need to add. At the moment, the pictures are high resolution which means they may take a long time to download if you have a dial up modem. If you do, you can tell me of your experience, and I will see if I can change that.
I have also started adding the bulletin to the webpage. It also has links to my morning sermons and evening lessons, as well as some articles from my website. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
Do we plan to do Friends Day in March or April?
Each time we receive House to House Heart to Heart, it is a reminder that it is time to submit what we want in the next issue. If we want to advertise a Friends Day, or any special event in March or April, it is time to submit it. Please share your thoughts with Dale and me.
