Our Record for Last Sunday, January 8, 2006
Attendance Contribution $1,362.00
Alice Wallace, is continuing her recovery. Please keep her in your prayers. She continues her treatments, but is still very weak.
Tracy Dodd came through her surgery fine, but naturally is very sore. Doctors feel sure they found and solved her problem. Let’s pray for her complete recovery, and thank God that all went well.
Jim Corner plans to be here this morning for what has become his annual visit and report on his work. He will make his presentation of the work he has been doing during class, and will be preaching at the 11:00 o’clock worship service. I know all of you are looking forward to hearing Jim’s report and message.
Pantry Urgency Has Passed
Some of you were concerned as to whether or not we had met the needs of those who had requested food for the pantry. One family that had requested help decided that “others needed it worse,” and said they were okay, so our pantry is okay. That doesn’t mean don’t bring anything else, but the urgent needs have been met for the time.
Glenn Kiefer Did a Great Job
I was impressed when I returned home to find that Glenn Kiefer had been effective in motivating several to become involved in encouraging those of our members who have been absent a lot from services. Glenn, thanks a lot for a job well done. It is an ongoing task, but I was very encouraged to hear the response to his lesson.
May God help us all to encourage one another to do the great work that needs to be done. Thanks again, Glenn, for the time, effort and thought that you put into this presentation in my absence.
