Alice Wallace, is continuing her recovery. She has moved back into her own home. I take that to mean she is feeling better.
Tracy Dodd is doing much better. Not back to normal completely, but much better..
David Dodd is at home ill with the flu, but recovering. The doctor talked like he might be able to go to work Monday if he took it easy, but he ordered him to say inside this weekend. Linda said she is experiencing some congestion, but doesn’t think she will get the flu.
Lavoyce Bramhall continues to improve. It’s great to have her smiling face back with us. Pray for her full and complete recovery.
Gale Evans has some health problems which are worse some days than others. She doesn’t complain, but we need to remember her in our prayers.
Cordell Kiefer has had some seizures lately that have caused the Kiefer’s some concern. Remember this family in your prayers. Could not get an update yesterday.
Harley is scheduled for hernia surgery on Wednesday at 11.00 a.m. The doctor says he should be okay in a few days.
Roy and Joyce Harris are going to Abilene for the week end to take the girls back to Glenn and Kenya. They will not be here today.
Business Meeting/Pizza Next Sunday evening
Dale and I discussed our need for a business meeting. We decided that next Sunday after evening service is probably the best time. As we all know, that is our traditional time for Whataburger. Your elders and deacons can remember having pizza at our model and then having an elders and deacons meeting, so this is similar, only it will be a business meeting for the men of the congregation. We have received notice from the Johnson County Tax Assessor that we must adopt a set of bylaws which state what will happen to our property if we were to disband. There may be other items that also need to be discussed.

We will pay for the Pizza, but we will provide a “kitty” where you can contribute if you would like to pay for your meal – estimated cost.

Dear All:
Lord willing, in 8 days Richard & Lori Sutton will accompany me for our 8th annual seminar. I have a new email address which is; jim@cornerfamily.net I would like for you to send me a short note just so I can know if it is working. You will be able to use this address to write to me in Cameroon. Here are some of the 'rules' regarding emails to me.
1. No attachments
2. No pictures
3. No jokes or other 'cute things'. I am a serious minded guy and don't have time for such stuff!
4. Email me regularly.
Now; I have a prayer request; I got DSL about a month ago and have 'adjusted' to its speed. I am now going back to a 9.6 modem so pray that sharp objects are never handy when I am on the 'net' as the temptation to commit Harry Carry will be great.
If you live near us; please check on Linda for me. If you discover that she is having wild parties and things of that nature, please let me know!

I Corinthians 12 is Scheduled for this evening
If you haven’t been attending our Sunday evening services, I’ like to extend to you a special invitation. We are currently doing a study of Corinthians. Lord willing, we will be studying chapter 12 this evening. If the study is what is keeping you away, please tell me what you would like to study.
I welcome your written suggestions for lessons and sermons. There are usually forms at the front of the building. It there are none, please let me know. I always welcome your suggestions, and use most of them, at least as time allows.

Introduction

Body
I. “But to do justly.”
It does involve being fair: not taking advantage of someone.
(James 5:4 NKJV)
1. It comes down to those who work for you.
2. Does it come down to the tip you give your waitress?
To do justly also involves punishment for those who do evil.
1. We are not to avenge ourselves.(Rom 12:19 NKJV)
2. On the other hand, government is for the punishment of evil doers. (Rom 13:1-4 NKJV) .
II. “To love mercy,”
A. How do we blend this with justice?
(Rom 12:17-21 NKJV) Mercy is sympathy.
(Rom 12:15 NKJV) Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
But it is more than kind words for those in need.
(James 2:15-17 NKJV)
But mercy is more. It is an attitude toward others.

III. And to walk humbly with your God?”
A. To be in agreement with God.
